Next-Generation GLP-1 Research Compounds: VK2735, Amycretin & Pemvidutide 2026
Following the rapid rise of Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and Retatrutide, a new wave of GLP-1-related compounds is now entering research discussion. This is a general educational overview — these compounds are not currently part of the Daxer Labs product range, and nothing here should be read as a buying guide.
Why a 'Next Generation' Is Emerging
The compounds studied so far target GLP-1 and related metabolic receptors individually or in combination. Newer candidates in development are exploring additional receptor targets and delivery formats, aiming to build on the metabolic research findings of earlier compounds.
VK2735
VK2735 is a dual receptor agonist in earlier-stage clinical development, studied for its potential metabolic effects. Both injectable and oral formulations have been explored in trials, though it remains considerably earlier in its research and regulatory pathway than Semaglutide or Tirzepatide.
Amycretin
Amycretin combines GLP-1 receptor activity with amylin receptor activity in a single molecule, an approach being studied for its potential combined metabolic effects. It is in early clinical trial stages, with data still emerging.
Pemvidutide
Pemvidutide is a GLP-1/glucagon dual agonist studied in early-to-mid stage trials. Like the others in this group, its research is ongoing and its regulatory pathway is considerably earlier-stage than established compounds.
What This Means for UK Researchers
All three compounds remain in active clinical development rather than being established or widely available research materials. They're worth tracking conceptually as the metabolic peptide research field evolves, though none currently sit alongside the compounds in Daxer Labs' catalogue.
